puppy raising

At Charlotte Doodles, our commitment to raising well-adjusted, healthy, and happy puppies is at the heart of everything we do. Our approach is a blend of love, science, and dedication, ensuring each puppy is not just physically sound but also emotionally and socially well-developed. Here's a deeper look into our puppy raising and breeding practices:

days 3-16

Initial Care and Bonding

The journey begins with ensuring the newborn puppies receive the essential care they need, focusing on their comfort, warmth, and nourishment. This period is crucial for their initial development and mother-puppy bonding.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI)

Between days 3 and 16, we begin ENS and ESI. ENS involves gentle exercises designed to stimulate the puppies' neurological systems, promoting health and stress resilience.

Simultaneously, ESI introduces the puppies to a variety of scents, enhancing their olfactory capabilities and aiding cognitive development.

Weeks 3-6

Sensory and Social Enrichment

Sensory Exploration

Puppies are gently introduced to new sights, sounds, and textures, enhancing their sensory development. This phase is designed to gently stimulate their minds, making them more adaptable and curious about their surroundings.

Socialization

The puppies regularly interact with various people and animals, and are introduced to different environments. This crucial period helps them develop social skills, ensuring they grow into well-adjusted, confident dogs.

Weeks 6-8

Building Foundations for the Future

Training Essentials

The focus on crate training, basic commands, and potty training lays the groundwork for their future behavior. This systematic approach ensures they learn essential skills in a nurturing environment.

Play and Development

Playtime is not just fun but also a critical part of their development, helping them to build physical coordination and confidence. This balance of play and learning fosters a well-rounded, gentle nature in each puppy.
